In short
I want everyone to be able to use this site without barriers. My goal is to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, but it hasn't had a formal audit and there are still known limitations, so I don't claim conformance.
What it includes
- The OpenDyslexic font across the whole site, designed to make reading easier for people with dyslexia.
- A skip-to-content link that appears when you press Tab.
- Keyboard navigation and a visible focus on interactive elements.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, animations and transitions stop.
- Each language has its own address, and it is marked for screen readers.
- The chat opens with the keyboard, closes with Esc and returns focus to the button that opened it. Its replies are marked so that screen readers announce them.
How I reviewed it
- Automated axe-core scans of every page, in both languages, at 1280 and 320 px wide. They found no WCAG failures, but these tools only catch some problems.
- An automated keyboard pass through the home page, a service page and the privacy page, plus opening and closing the chat.
I haven't yet tested it with screen readers or with people with disabilities, and I haven't gone through a full chat conversation using only the keyboard.
Known limitations
- The decorative cursor blinks with no control to pause it, unless your system asks for reduced motion.
- Below 1100 px wide, or at high zoom, the section menu is hidden and you need to scroll to reach each section.
If you run into a barrier
Tell me on WhatsApp or Discord from the contact section. It helps to know which page you were on, what you were trying to do and which browser or assistive technology you use.
